Berita paling heboh minggu terakhir adalah seputar domain .co.cc yang di suspend Google. Keputusan Google ini tentu merugikan banyak pihak, namun kita tidak bisa menyalahkan seluruhnya. Seperti kita tahu domain .co.cc adalah domain gratisan yang menurut saya paling baik dan konsisten. Alhasil, banyak sekali blogger yang menggunakan domain ini untuk blognya, tak terkecuali para spammer yang hobi menimbun blog dengan domain ini. Karena gratisan, tidak menjadi masalah untuk membuat blog spam sebanyak apapun. Akhirnya, domain .co.cc menjadi penyumbang terbesar blog-blog sampah di pencarian Google. Termasuk juga AGC yang (maaf) saya masih beranggapan blog-blog seperti itu hanya mengganggu saja.
Tidak ubahnya di dunia politik. Kadang kesalahan sebagian pihak menyebabkan kerugian bagi keseluruhan. Sebelumnya kita mengenal oknum polisi atau oknum dewan perwakilan rakyat, kini kita bisa mulai mentenarkan kata-kata oknum blogger. Tidak dipungkiri lagi, tindakan-tindakan tidak bertanggung jawab dari para spammer yang menggunakan .co.cc menjadikan jutaan blog lain dengan artikel asli yang bermanfaat berdomain serupa ikut ditendang oleh Google. Beberapa hal yang akhirnya saya lakukan setelah di suspend nya .co.cc dari Google: Muncul di benak saya, jika Google dapat mensuspend blog-blog tertentu dari top level domain, seharusnya google juga bisa meloloskan blog-blog tertentu dari domain-domain gratisan seperti .co.cc. Semoga saja…. Diluar dari semua yang saya utarakan di atas, Top Level Domain tetap menjadi pilihan terbaik untuk Anda… Semoga bermanfaat…. NB: Seperti dugaan, dashboard baru blogger hanya berubah dari sisi tampilan. Dan dari sisi fungsional, NOL….  |
